Online psychology and parenting orientation
for Spanish-speaking expats.

ExpatPsi was created by Paula Vexlir and started as a trial experience. She started to work online since some of her patients asked for her support while moving away and she accepted to give it a try. Quite skeptical at first she was very surprised about the results and learned that it is a very good option for people living outside their passport country who cannot access to a psychologist on their native language.

Paula is a registered clinical psychologist. Based in Argentina, she has been supporting the Spanish-speaking expat community since 2002. The intercultural field and the identity issues always caught her attention being a TCK herself as well as having corporate experience working for multinational companies. When starting with her practice she chose to get her public hospital experience (residency equivalent) in the Couples and Families area as well as at the Fertility department. This experience gave her even more knowledge to support couples straighten through relocation. At her private practice she gained experience supporting people dealing with extreme anguish, complex grief periods, psychosomatic diseases and acculturation processes.

She leads a continuous research of the Spanish-speaking expat community to increase awareness on the specifics of this community and share the information with companies and Global Mobility experts for better support of their expat´s needs. Also, with her knowledge on the challenges she created ExpatPsi and started to give lectures and workshops on the subject with a prevention-oriented approach.

She is an active member on the International Association for Cross-Cultural Psychology and FIGT: Families in Global Transition. To learn more about her experience you can find her resume below.
